ACCOMODATIONS

Pro-Tips Sports Corp. Tournament Policy stipulates that all tournament teams must book their hotels for our tournaments using CSTT.  This service is no extra cost to your team.

Please book directly with CSTT, at 1-800 304-6346 ext. 336 or if you choose to contact a Host Hotel directly, please advise them that you are attending The “Pro-Tips Spring Classic” and you wish to book your rooms in the CSTT Block.  This allows us to provide you with the best possible convenience and service and helps us keep our tournament fees as low as possible.

Our HOST HOTELS are no more than a 10-15 minute drive from the Western Fair Sports Centre. We have referenced those that are in downtown London ; about 5 minutes drive from the Western Fair Sports Centre and those on Wellington Road , about 10-15 minutes away. Regardless of where you stay, all our hotels are close by, clean, modern and friendly!

RULES and REGULATIONS

  • GAMES: There will be a 2 minute warm-up prior to each game. Referee discretion to run clock, if start of game is delayed with excessive warm-up. Over time will be played in all playoff games as required. A five minute 4on4 sudden death over time will be played. If after over time a tie still exists we will revert to a 5 man shoot-out to determine the winner. If after the five shooters no one wins, there will be a sudden death shoot-out. No one player can shoot twice in any shoot out.
  • Mercy Rule: If by or at any time during the third period one team is ahead 5 goals or more, RUNNING TIME WILL COMMENCE.
  • Scoring: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.
  • No tim e outs allowed.
  • The red line rule applies to icing only.
  • 12-12-15 minute periods for all categories.
  • Body contact is permitted in the Peewee age group.
  • Body contact is NOT permitted in the Atom age group.
  • Any player receiving a game misconduct will be suspended for the remainder of that game only. If the misconduct occurs in the third period or over tim e, the player will be suspended for the next game as well. That penalty will be reviewed by the Tournament Committee for further suspensions if necessary.
  • Home and Visitors status on game sheet shall supersede any other listings. Coaches must sign game sheets. All teams must complete their respective game sheets at least 15 minutes before scheduled game tim e to insure no sweater colour conflicts. Home team responsible to give to referee.
  • TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE:
    • Winner of two teams. (If three way tie; see tie break #2)
    • Goals for divided by goals against. Highest percentage wins.
    • Coin toss decides winner if still tied after tiebreak procedures 1, and 2.
  • ROSTERS: All tournament players must be listed on your first game sheet, which shall become your final tournament roster. No player can be added to the roster after the first game. A photocopy of your official birth certificates must be available at all tim es during the tournament, in case a player is challenged. A maximum of 19 players may register and dress for each game.
  • EQUIPMENT: Canadian teams must adhere to Hockey Canada standards, and U.S. teams must adhere to Hockey USA standards.
  • Coaches and Managers are responsible to control their players and Parents to ensure that each game is played safely, with no vulgar language or harmful infractions displayed. Team management responsible for any damages caused by their children to Arena facilities.
  • Tournament Officials and/or Tournament Head Referee can waive any rule, game misconduct's and may over rule and make any final decisions necessary.
