We are pleased to have Jim Sandlak as our head instructor. Jim has an extensive hockey background. After a successful junior career with the London Knights and Kitchener Rangers he was selected 4th overall in the 1985 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks. He won a gold medal for Canada with our junior team and spent over 10 seasons in the NHL. Jim is currently active in minor hockey as the coach of the Junior Knights AAA minor Bantam team.
On ice instruction will include wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots, backhands, one-timers, in-tight shooting, and tipping. Puck control exercises will include work on stick handling, tight turns, pivoting, and dekes.
